Setup is underway for Northeast's Farm Heritage Days, with the celebration set for this weekend.

The two-day event features everything from axe throwing and live music to tractor shows and petting zoos for kids.

It runs from noon to 7 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday at Gibson and Heard Parks.

Vendors say they can't wait for the summer celebration.

The festival also features dozens of food vendors and hands-on science fun for kids.

"We have Cherry Festival that celebrates our fireman, we have Wine Festival that celebrates our wineries, but we have more than 120 business and farms and they're not just grapes,"  Jennifer Smith, Enjoy North East. "So, we wanted an opportunity to celebrate that."
