America Celebrates National Chicken Wing Day
One of America's favorite appetizers is being honored Monday in celebration of National Chicken Wing Day.
The city of Buffalo, N.Y., proclaimed the holiday in 1977.

- The average American can eat 12 chicken wings in one sitting.
- Americans consume 1.25 billion chicken wings on Super Bowl Sunday alone, which would circle the Grand Canyon 120 times.
