It was a day of celebration for the Sikh community as they commemorated National Sikh Day, Visakhi and the 326th Anniversary of the creation of Khalsa.

National Sikh Day is a day to commemorate the designation of Vaisakhi every April.

Celebrations took place at the Sikh Temple on West 8th Street.

Erie Mayor Joe Schember made a proclamation and the honorable Razin Karu had a proclamation from the Governor's office.

This was a celebration of all faiths within the community and organizers hoped their event would bring messages of love, peace, unity and non-discrimination to the community.
