Pa. State Police to Host Child Safety Seat Checks in Honor of NHTSA's Click It or Ticket Campaign

Pennsylvania State Police are participating in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's (NHTSA's) Click It or Ticket campaign by hosting child safety seat checks.
Vehicle crashes are one of the leading causes of death, with most fatalities being attributed to unbelted motorists.
Troopers certified as child passenger safety technicians will offer car seat fittings and inspections throughout the state. Troopers will ensure that care seats are in good working condition, installed properly and free from recalls.
The following car seat checks will be held in PSP's Troop E coverage area:
- Wednesday May 14, 2025 from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Seneca Volunteer Fire Department
(3494 PA-257, Seneca, PA 16346) - Sunday, May 18, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM at West Ridge Fire Department Station 47
(4775 Sterrettania Road, Erie, PA 16506).
Both events are free and open to the public.
Pennsylvania law requires any occupant younger than 18 to buckle up when riding in a vehicle, as well as drivers and front-seat passengers.
The NHTSA's Click It or Ticket campaign runs from Monday, May 12 through Sunday, June 1.
