Motorcycles were rumbling in the City of Erie on Saturday for Rides for the Rise.

This was the first year for the event.

Motorcyclists began their parade in West Erie Plaza and made their way to Liberty Park for the an afternoon of live music, food, and vendors.

All the money raised from Saturday's event benefits Save the Youth 814, which is a non-profit which helps young men and women in the Erie community.

Event organizers were pleased with the turnout for the first year for the event and look forward to seeing it grow in future years.
