In Crawford County, developers of the proposed tires-to-energy plant are once again receiving public input.

Tonight, the Department of Environmental Protection hosted a information session, giving citizens an update on the status of the plant.  Alarge crowd made their way out, to voice their concerns.

Crawford Renewable Energy wants to build the $350 million plant in the Keystone Regional Industrial Park in Greenwood Township.  According to the company, by burning 900 tons of tires each day, they would produce enough electricity to power nearly 75 thousand homes.

Right now,the DEP is looking into the amount of emissions that the plant would produce.

While it hasn't been finalized, the DEP said that the plant would reach air quality standards.
