Biologists Examine Wandering Wallaby

The PA Game commission is still trying to track down the owner of that wandering wallaby. A biologist from the game commission scanned the animal Monday morning, to see if a microchip with tracking information was ever implanted in the wallaby.  No microchip was found.

Game commissioners picked the animal up last week along King Road in Cambridge Springs. The 25 pound marsupial, that resembles a kangaroo, is native to Australia.  The wallaby was tranquilized and taken to the Pymatuning Deer Park in Jamestown, PA.  Park owner, Rachelle Sankey says it is not on exhibit.  They are keeping it quarantined and continuing to take care of it, while the game commission tries to figure out how it ended up in the wild in Crawford County.
