Burglars Hit Several Churches In Crawford County

State police in Crawford county are trying to figure out who's behind a series of burglaries at churches.

Investigators say thieves forced their way into the New Beginnings Church of God on Leslie road in West Mead township recently.

They're also looking into reported break-ins at the Titusville Free Methodist church, and the First Baptist Church in Townville, where a safe was stolen.

Police say burglars also took bottles of wine and other items from St. Hippolyte Church in Guys Mills, and The Pine Grove United Methodist in Meadville was also hit.

Anyone with information on the church burglaries is asked to call Meadville state police.

State police in Franklin arrested two suspects, that were reportedly in the process of burglarizing a church in Venango County.
Investigators are looking into whether they're responsible for the church burglaries in Crawford county as well.
