Caprese Burger

Caprese Burger


    1 Cup Light Mayo

    ? Cup Reduced Fat Parmesan

    ½ Cup Basil, Chopped

    1 Tbsp garlic Powder



    96% Lean Ground Beef Patties

    Sliced Skim Milk Mozzarella Cheese

    Burger Buns

    (Optional) Lettuce or Leafy Greens


    Red Onion


Step 1

In a small bowl, stir together light mayo, reduced fat parmesan and fresh basil. Some garlic powder, and salt and pepper to taste.

Step 2

On a hot griddle or iron skillet, throw on 4 ounces of extra lean ground beef, seasoned with a bit of salt on both sides.

Step 3

Cook on each side for about two minutes for a nice medium rare taste.

Step 4

About halfway thru, throw on a slice of skim milk mozzarella cheese and let it melt.

Step 5

Warm the bun on the grill or in the toaster.

Step 6

Place bottom bun on the plate, and top it with arugula, the burger, tomato and finally the red onion. Give the top part of the bun a good spread of the pesto mayo.
