Emergency crews had to make a challenging rescue after an accident in Washington township just before midnight on Halloween.
State police say the 23-year-old male driver of a red pickup truck lost control on route 6 N at Hamilton Road. The truck rolled over several times, ejecting the driver and pinning him underneath its roof. Rescuers had to jack up the truck to free the driver and rush him to the UPMC Hamot Trauma center for treatment.
Rescue crews searched the field for anyone else who may have been hurt, but believe there was just one victim. Troopers suspect driving under the influence and plan to file charges. So far, they haven't released the driver's name or condition.
