The EMTA is adding a new loop to its trolley route.

The Cultural Loop will stop at more than a dozen of Erie's hottest arts and cultural venues. The Saturday-only service begins December 13 starting at 5 p.m. and runs through June 2015. Residents and visitors can park at the Intermodal Transportation Center and take the Cultural Loop trolley to several arts and cultural venues for free. The pilot program is sponsored by Erie Arts & Culture and the Erie Downtown Partnership.

"As we increase arts and culture activities in the downtown area, we want to make sure that we're increasing our infrastructure to increase those activities," said Amanda Brown Sissem, VP of Erie Arts & Culture. "So this is important that we start to add layers of service like this to our residents and visitors as well."

The Cultural Loop runs every Saturday from 5-11 p.m. For route information you can visit www.ride-the-e.com
