The Erie Philharmonic kicked off its 2015 - 2016 season with a pops concert made for movie buffs. The title, Spielberg Scores.

The entire concert was devoted to the movie scores of one of the most talented, successful, and important filmmakers of our time. Film maker and Edinboro University film professor Tom Weber shared thoughts on Spielberg's film style.

Our own Gary Drapcho was part of the evening, delivering the words of F.D.R. and Winston Churchill during a "Band of Brothers" medley.

The pops orchestra took a packed house on musical journey from Jaws and Jurassic Park to the hauntingly beautiful melody from Schindler's List, played by Concert Master Ken Johnston.

The Erie Philharmonic symphonic season opens October 10 with a program called "Tales of Hemmingway."
