ERIE, Pa. - As the Erie Philharmonic prepares for their “An Evening in Paris” concert, Saturday. They hosted a French themed dinner at Cloud 9 Wine Bar.

The 5 course meal and wine pairing featured various French cuisines, all setting the mood for the Philharmonic’s concert.  “An Evening in Paris” will be held this Saturday March 5th, at the Warner Theatre.  While not all music is from French composers, they all have French Ties.

Erie Philharmonic Music Director, Daniel Meyer, says what a better way to celebrate Paris, and French culture, then eat like a Parisian!  The 5 course meal included an “amuse bouche” with a duck and fig rillettes, and ended with a delicious crème brulee, which Chef de Cuisine, Marc Calzone, says the menu is influenced straight out of France.

Marc says, “The menu tonight is inspired by Pars.  Paris and France is a culmination of everything around.”

Daniel says, “Well, it’s always fun to investigate the European influences in our music and in our culture, and this is just an opportunity to reflect on that and enjoy it.”

Tickets are still available for Saturday’s “An Evening in Paris.” To purchase tickets, call the Erie Philharmonic at 814-455-1375 or go to their website EriePhil.org.
