A handful of local kids received a special surprise Tuesday morning just before the Erie SeaWolves game.

Variety the Children's Charity presented eight adaptive bikes to children with disabilities.

They even got a chance to take a ride around the bases.

This is the first stop on the charity's Life-Changing Summer Tour. Variety expects to provide more than 150 pieces of adaptive equipment to kids in Pennsylvania and West Virginia before the end of summer.

Saint Vincent Hospital, Highmark, Edgar Snyder and Associates teamed up with Variety and the SeaWolves to present the adaptive bikes.
