From gun violence to the Erie School District budget crisis, members of the Cathedral of St. Paul congregation say it's time to pray.

On Sunday, during the Holy Eucharist, the church unveiled a brand new prayer arbor, for the City of Erie.

The arbor was created by artist AJ Noyes.

"We want it to be for all walks of people, all classes, all faiths, and to have a chance to not only write your own prayer, but to see the prayers of others and gain hope and inspiration." Said Noyes.

Members of the community are encouraged to grab a ribbon from the church and fill out a prayer for the city, which are then tied to the arbor.

"Already we're seeing some for the school district, for those that are homeless,” said Noyes.  “It's a personal thing, so it will run the gamut I think as all walks of life."

The prayer arbor will be in front of the St. Paul Cathedral, until November 6.
