It's the biggest fundraiser of the year for the sight center of Northwestern Pennsylvania.
The Erie Yacht Club hosted, "dining in the dark", with the theme... "a touch of Spain". Guests dined in candlelight and enjoyed a silent auction. They were also able to put their senses to the touch with the use of blindfolds and vision simulators to understand what it's like for someone who is blind or has a vision impairment.
"I wish that I could say our blind people could take off their at the vision loss at the end of the day, they can't. But we'd like our diners to have a good time so we're letting them take off their simulators or take off their blindfolds," said Linda Hackshaw, Executive Director of the Sight Center of Northwestern Pennsylvania.
Many came out for the event, including some of our own from Erie News Now.
All proceeds benefited the Sight Center's transportation program.
