A new diner is now open along downtown Erie's Perry Square.

A ribbon cutting ceremony Friday marked the official opening of Dave's Diner. It is located in the former site of the Sidewalk Cafe along North Park Row.

The diner features an updated '50s feel and will be serving both breakfast and lunch with late night hours coming soon.

It is open from 6:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. daily.

The diner even has a liquor license. Some of the signature items on the menu include what they call boozy shakes, which are a spiked up version of the classic diner milkshake.

It has been open for about a week.

The diner is owned by Dave Freeman, who already owns and opens several downtown businesses.
