ERIE, Pa. - What happens to land when exposed to an abundance of water? That is a question fourth grade students are hoping to answer at the Edison Elementary School Wednesday evening.
Fifteen Edison students, elementary staff and GE Transportation engineers participated in a night of experiments.
They learned about soil erosion in an interactive outdoor activity.
Students built sandcastles, then discovered how water changes the structure.
The Champions team won the castle competition; remaining upward against water squirts for 27 seconds.
