Saint Vincent Hospital celebrated the opening of its new chest diseases, pulmonary rehab and sleep center location with a ribbon cutting Thursday afternoon.

The two-story building at the corner of West 26th and Sassafras was renovated and offers more space to provide services to patients. The building was formerly the home of Saint Vincent's orthopedic practice.

Extra patient rooms allow clinicians to see more patients sooner.

The rehab gym is larger and features new equipment.

The sleep center has room for growth and features a new oxygen system that can be controlled without disrupting sleeping patients.

It's the latest in a series of improvements at Saint Vincent.

"We're very proud to be offering these services to Saint Vincent patients," said Dr. Chris Clark, president of Saint Vincent Hospital. "Our doctors have a great reputation. Many of them are very experienced and have been around this community for a long time. Now, they have a brand new office to do their jobs and take care of our pulmonary patients."

All three were previously located at 3580 Peach Street. Their phones numbers will remain the same.
