Disabilities Awareness Day
Organizations have come together in the name of providing resources to those dealing with disabilities, and their families. Disabilities Awareness Day was held Friday at the Millcreek Mall. It's to bring public awareness and understanding of disabilities in the community.
The annual event, held by the group Voices for Independence, had vendors available ranging from wheelchair and other mobility options to the Sight Center.
Anyone wanting information about disability resources can contact Voices for Independence at 814-874-0064. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm. On call services are also available any time of the day.
