Leaders, Lawmakers Issue Statements on Passing of State Rep. Flo Fabrizio
Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf Tuesday released a statement on the passing of State Rep. Florindo “Flo” Fabrizio Tuesday morning.
He served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for 16 years.
“Representative Fabrizio’s life was one of passion and he spent his career fighting for the people he represented in Erie. Flo was a loyal and loving husband, father, colleague, friend and representative. He was a personal friend to me and I will never forget his zeal for life, even in his most difficult days. His legacy in Erie and across Pennsylvania will live on for years to come and I encourage all Pennsylvanians to keep him, his family and all those mourning in their thoughts today.”
Pennsylvania State Sen. Dan Laughlin also issued a statement.
"It's been an honor to serve alongside Rep. Fabrizio for the past year and a half. Flo, being the gentleman that he was, welcomed me into his district office to congratulate me before I was even sworn in as Senator. He made sure I knew his door was always open to me. We collaborated on several issues, most recently, funding for the JMC Ice Arena renovation project. My sympathy to his entire family. He will be sorely missed by friends, colleagues and constituents."
Erie County Executive Kathy Dahlkemper is also reflecting on the passing of state Rep. Fabrizio.
“Erie County lost a true life force today. Flo Fabrizio was dedicated to public service, both in county government and in the state Legislature. He was, above all, the people’s politician, working to better serve the residents of the community that he loved so much. He was a gentleman, a friend and, always, an advocate for the people of Erie County. He leaves big shoes to fill, both here in Erie County and in Harrisburg.”
U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) offered the following statement:
“Representative Flo Fabrizio served our commonwealth, as both an educator and elected official, for nearly his entire adult life. His impact, specifically on behalf of Erie, was substantial and should be admired. I extend my condolences to Representative Fabrizio's family, friends, and colleagues.”
