Police Investigate East Side Shooting, One Victim Shot
Police are investigating reports of gunfire on Erie's east side.
Shortly after 7:00 p.m., Monday, police received multiple reports of four or five shots of gunfire in the 500 block of east 6th St.
Officers told Erie News Now, one victim was shot in the arm and was taken to UPMC-Hamot in a private vehicle. They believe this victim is connected with the earlier shots fired.
According to scanners, police later responded to calls of someone hiding in the bushes on E 5th St, around 9:00 p.m. After searching that area, police were unable to find a suspect to the shooting.
Police continue to investigate into the night.
