Grandmother Travels Hours to See Granddaughter from Texas Perform
Lake Erie Fanfare showcased nine drum core and bugle groups from all over the country. Hundreds filled the Veteran's Memorial Stadium to see the groups perform.
In the crowd of hundreds, was Anne Schaefer, who traveled hours to see her granddaughter from Texas perform. Anne is from Syracuse, New York, and drove to Allentown, PA and then here to Erie.
Her granddaughter, Natalie Hart, is a member of the color guard in the group Genesis. Natalie is 20 years old and she's been doing color guard since 2012. She loves performing and being a part of drum core, but she's decided to share her passion for the activity with others.
After her group performs in the Championships in a few days, she will start preparing for her job as a coastguard instructor at a high school in Austin, Texas.
