Author Who Lived in P.I. Lighthouse Helps Celebrate National Lighthouse Day on Peninsula
On a day known as National Lighthouse Day, a woman who used to live in the Presque Isle Lighthouse is giving back.
Writer and teacher, Loretta Brandon, is the author of "Light Keepers Legacy: A Personal History of Presque Isle." She used to live in the lighthouse, when she was a child, in the 1950's. Tuesday, she shared her story during an event, where she also signed copies of her book.
The book is sold at the Presque Isle Lighthouse. All sale proceeds will go right back towards any needs for the lighthouse.
The lighthouse and gift shop are open daily during the summer season, from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm.
