Life Sentences Handed Down to Two Charged in Shooting Death of David Tate
Two of the four people charged in the shooting death of a local man during a robbery last year were handed down life sentences.
Taisha Santiago, 27, and Jalen Reynolds, 25, were convicted of second degree murder in the death of David Tate, 28.
A judge sentenced Reynolds to life with no parole, plus an additional 9 to 18 years.
Santiago is sentenced to life with no parole.
Police say those two, along with David Dalton, 30, and Lashonta Dade, 26, conspired to rob Tate along East 20th Street last June.
They say the robbery escalated into deadly gunfire.
Dalton's not expected to go on trial until next January.
Dade testified against Reynolds and Santiago at their trial earlier this year. It's unclear at this time if she will face any charges.
