In Chautauqua county, lives lost on 9/11 were remembered in a special ceremony.

The Mayville 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony took place outside the Chautauqua County Courthouse Tuesday.
The ceremony began at noon.
The short program honored and remembered over 3,000 people who died during the World Trade towers attack.
It was open to the public and featured a few words from local dignitaries including George Borrello, Chautauqua county executive.

The local American Legion and Chautauqua County Veterans council organized the event.
