The American Heart and Stroke Association's annual Heart Walk was held Thursday night, at the Highmark Amphitheater at Liberty Park.

Erie News Now Morning Anchor, Kara Coleman served as emcee.

Those walking for heart health awareness could choose between a one or a three mile walk.

The walkers raise money to help in the fight against heart disease and stroke, with a goal of raising a total of $200,000 this year.

Heart disease is the number one killer, while stroke is ranked at number 4.
