New Warning for the Winter Months
We have a new winter weather warning. Starting on Thursday, November 1st, the National Weather Service in Cleveland will now issue SNOW SQUALL WARNINGS. This warning is geared to those who are driving on area roadways and highways. Arctic fronts sometimes bring intense snow, dropping temperatures and windy conditions reducing visibility. This will not be issued in conjunction with lake effect snow situations. Snow Squall Warnings are short-fused and focused on a distinct area and , much like a tornado or severe thunderstorm warning.
