The Erie Otters have traded captain Kyle Maksimovich to the Ottawa 67s for three draft choices, the rights to forward Austen Swankler and a conditional pick, according to team general manager Dave Brown.

Maksimovich, 20, has spent all of his five-year junior career with the Otters. He was selected 59th overall in the 2014 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection.

The Hamilton, Ontario native has recorded a number of records during his time with the Otters:

  • Fourth all-time in games played with 292
  • Fifth in points at 281
  • Seventh in goal scoring with 103 tallies
  • Third in assists with 178 helpers

Hi iron man streak of 131 consecutive games played (March 14, 2015 - February 25, 2017) sits second all-time in Otters history.
