After a Millcreek massage parlor is busted, for allegedly operating as part of a nationwide human trafficking ring, Erie News Now took a deeper look at other massage parlors in the area.

The Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office says 1407 Massage, along Peninsula Drive, was operating as part of a human trafficking ring.

A Florida man was charged with exploiting illegal immigrants, having them offer sexual acts for money during massages as his parlors around the country, including the one in Millcreek.

So we wanted to know, what about the other so-called erotic massage parlors, located around town?

We uncovered a website, based out of Switzerland, which lists erotic massage parlors around the world, including right here in Erie.

We logged in, and read numerous vulgar reviews from clients describing intimate services they received.

So we went to the massage parlors listed on the site.

The Esquire II, on West 26th street, closed and locked their doors when they saw us arrive.

Other massage parlor owners, including Totally You Fitness Spa at 18th and Peach, say they've heard of the website, but denies performing erotic massage services that were mentioned in the online reviews.

The Jockey Health Spa at 27th and Peach is open most days until 3:00 a.m., and offers 20 minute massages for $20. The owner says they offer full body massages, and do not do anything illegal, and she also denies performing some of the intimate services that were mentioned online.

So, what does the public think?

While neighbors of the Esquire II say the establishment is a nuisance, some people we spoke with say the massage parlors don't bother them, “I've lived here my whole life, and I've known about them, but I've never paid attention to them, I know what goes on in there, but if it doesn't bother me, then what do I care?” Erie resident Lauren Brown questioned.

“As a business owner, I feel like people h

ave a right to be in business, and as long as they're being legitimate and they're doing the right things to make sure they're under business regulations, then they should able to operate, but also should be monitored under Pennsylvania rules and regulations,” said Leslie Booker, of Erie.

Not all of the massage parlors listed on the website, are actually erotic massage parlors, which is also confirmed in the comments we found online.

The website is able to exist because it's not based in America.
