Jason Robinson says he was fishing last week on the Waccamaw River when he felt a tug on his line, but it turns out it wasn't a fish.

He reeled in an iPhone.

Robinson kept the phone in his boat for the rest of his fishing outing. He later posted a photo of a water-damaged photograph he had found inside the phone's case on Facebook.

Within five minutes, he had identified a woman in the photo as Riley Johnson.

Johnson said her husband had lost his phone in the river while fishing around Thanksgiving 2020.

She also thanked Johnson in a Facebook post, saying she would keep the recovered photo and frame it.
