National Geographic has named Niagara Falls State Park in New York as one of the best places to watch this year's total solar eclipse.

Niagara Falls, along with Erie, is in the path of totality. The path of totality is where observers will see the moon completely cover the sun during the eclipse.

According to National Geographic, Niagara Falls, NY is one of the most picturesque places to watch the eclipse.

The publication went on to say that the state park has various vantage points ideal for glimpsing the natural phenomenon.

Additionally, staff at the state park will be offering educational programming in conjunction with the event.

Since Erie is also in the path of totality, Erie News Now will be hosting an Eclipse Watch Party at LECOM Sports Park on April 8th.
