Millcreek Township is partnering with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), the City of Erie and other Erie County organizations to provide a single source of communication for Eclipse Day on Monday, April 8.

“It’s all about the Erie County residents and preventing confusion when time matters most,” said Millcreek
Township Communications Coordinator Sam Peterson, “a single source of communication across Erie County will give everyone equal access to information from different areas without having to check a frustrating amount of communication channels.”

The listing is hosted through PennDOT's 511pa.com eclipse page. Officials said it will be updated frequently throughout the day as traffic conditions warrant. Officials across Erie County, including Millcreek Township, the City of Erie and PennDOT will relay relevant information.

This will not replace any emergency alert systems already set up by the county or traditional methods of communication such as social media from individual organizations.
