After a five-year hiatus, GetGo has announced the return of The General Sub sandwich. Thanks to overwhelming demand, the sandwich is back for a limited time. 

The General is an entire General Tso's chicken dish packaged into a sub sandwich. The sub features fresh made in house bread, two breaded chicken tenderloins smothered in a tangy-and-sweet General Tso's sauce, a drizzle of spicy and smooth sriracha sauce and two vegetable spring rolls. 

According to GetGo, customer reactions to The General sub sandwich have always been extreme, with some saying it's an abomination to food science, but most saying it's the best sandwich they've ever tasted. 

In celebration of the sandwich's return, GetGo will be hosting a fuel promotion from April 18 through April 24. Customers who purchase the sandwich will get a 10-cents-off-per-gallon discount on their next fuel purchase.
