Gannon University held a mapping exhibit on Tuesday, April 23. The exhibit showcased their student's hard work on their projects this semester.

The projects were based on the students fields of expertise and examined socioeconomic problems within the Erie community. These projects looked at issues such as poverty, crime rates, and the benefits of adding safe walking routes to local schools.

Dr. Christopher Magno, an Associate Professor at Gannon explained, "The main focus of the community mapping project is to focus on our main concerns in our community and if we can address that I think we can be peaceful a little bit in our life that's so crazy right now."

Previous projects have led to community changes such as United Way's Safe Walking Routes for Erie's schools, which was first implemented in 2019.
