The City of Warren has completed the finishing touches to Walkable Warren, a local initiative that aims to promote a healthy lifestyle and knowledge of local history.

The last four kiosks were installed in downtown Warren in part of the Walkable Warren initiative.

These kiosks feature historical details and information about the downtown area.

Over the past few years, the City of Warren Department of Public Works have been working hard to set them up at key locations in town.

“When we did the Walkable Warren trail, to enhance the trail it was decided to put up some kiosks,” stated Mike Holtz, City Manager.

People who visit the kiosks can get a glimpse of what Warren looked like anywhere from 70 to 100 years ago.

“What's nice about these historic kiosks is that the pictures that are on the kiosks are where you are standing,” Holtz added.  "So, you can really step back in time and see what everything used to look like."

The City of Warren Public Works Department hopes that these kiosks will add to the character of the town, offering both residents and visitors a better understanding of Warren and its history.
