The Erie Philharmonic is gearing up for its season finale. The Philharmonic's season will come to an end at the Warner Theatre on Saturday, May 11.

The final Symphonic Series concert of the season will feature Carl Orff's Carmina Burana paired with two violin pieces, Ernest Chausson's Poeme and Franz Waxman's Carmen Fantasie.

Additionally, the Erie Philharmonic will welcome three world-class vocalists to the stage. The Erie Philharmonic Chorus, and Youth Choirs will take the stage during the performance of Carmina Burana.

Vocalists Teresa Perrotta, Arnold Livingston Geis, and Johnathan McCullough will make their Philharmonic debut.

“I’m excited to share the stage this weekend with our wonderful Philharmonic Chorus prepared by Tom Brooks, the Youth Chorale prepared by Sharon Downey, a trio of internationally recognized vocal soloists, and an enormous complement of our own Philharmonic musicians who are as excited as I am to bring this beloved work to life on the
Warner Stage,” remarked Music Director Daniel Meyer. “I am also honored to introduce Stella Chen, who through her radiant stage presence and virtuosity on the violin will amaze us with two brilliant showpieces. It will be a fitting end to a season of highlights and will be a good barometer of the state of great music-making in Erie.”

Violin virtuoso, Stella Chen, will also make her Erie Philharmonic debut performing the Chausson and Waxman pieces.

Chen will also be doing outreach events throughout the week leading up to the concert at local elementary schools.

The season finale will take place at 8 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets can be purchased on the Erie Philharmonic's website
