Just three days ago Romolo Chocolates lost power but after one day of having to close up shop, they are back in business.

Romolo's had a transformer blow due to the recent heat in Erie. Penelec came to check things out and they found something that halted operations.

"We have a meter, and we didn't check it in the beginning," Owner Tony Stefanelli said. "We assumed we were up and running, but our three phase power was basically compromised."

WM T. Spaeder Company and Penelec were a big help in getting Romolo's back up and running. But, there was one employee of Romolo's that drove to Oak Harbor, Ohio to pick up a part for an ice cream freezer.

"I can't say enough about out employees,w e all adapted trying to figure out other things to do," Stefanelli said.

This power outage caused Romolo Chocolates to lose a few of their machines and a couple HVAC units. But, when the business opened back up yesterday they had

"We had 500 transactions," Stefanelli said. "Which we know it probably would work out to be maybe 1,000 people."

Stefanelli could not find the right words to say to Erie, but here are four that he simply said.

"God bless this community."
