A place to ship packages is what you might recognize UPS to be. In Erie County, two UPS locations are owned by the same woman, who also has locations in the Pittsburgh area, too. As you can imagine, this season is the busiest time of year for the stores.

Dozens of rolls of tape. That's how many are being used at this Erie UPS location per week.

It opened in 2014 at the Yorktown Plaza. And was the first for franchise owner: Rachel Artise.

"This was my baby," said Rachel. "My first baby"

The Yorktown and the new Harborcreek location are what the mom of two owns in Erie County. Years ago, she started as a UPS associate at another Erie store.

From there she went into the management program. She also now oversees stores in the Pittsburgh area, too.

"This particular store had zero dollars in print at that time, so we love print," said Rachel. "It connects us with other entrepreneurs and connects us more intimately with regular customers."

So much so, store employees can take the ideas of, or sit down with customers to create anything from invitations to Christmas cards. The cards are made to order—right in-house.

The UPS Store also serves as a notary.

Additionally, customers can rent mailboxes for 6 to 12 months at a time.

The mailbox customers are also allowed 7 packages a week delivered to the UPS Store, and the packages can stay here for up to a week.

Speaking of packages, this store serves as a haven for sending boxes overseas to military members and simply for the holiday season.

Some customers visit often, like Rahul Warrier.

"Boxing and returning a lot because my two daughters and my wife order a lot of things online and have to come here, so I'm usually the person, they call me the mule, so I have to come and return things for them," said Rahul Warrier, customer. "You're the go-to guy—I'm the go-to guy."

The go-to guy at a go-to place. Where bubble wrap is in surplus, equipment to make orders more efficient is front and center, and the staff is ready to serve.

Did you ever want personalized wrapping paper? Maybe with the face of a person or pet on it? Well, the UPS Store can do that too.
