Erie News Now is launching a new series called Family for Life. The series will introduce you to some pretty incredible kids in our community, looking for permanency.

This month, we are headed to cosmetology school with a teenager named Angelee. She's dreaming of a bright future career and a family to call her own.

It was a day off of school for 16-year-old Angelee. She spent the day in another classroom, at the Noe Noonan Cosmetology School.

"It's a lot of fun," said Angelee.

She jumped at the chance to get a taste of what it would be like to pursue her dream job.

"I love the nails and the skin and the hair," said Angelee. "I have a mannequin head I got for my birthday and I like to practice on it."

Angelee couldn't stop smiling as she jumped right into the hands-on experience, making the most of every moment.

This young woman isn't just dreaming of a future in cosmetology, she's also set her sights on a family for life.

Angelee and our Traci Teudhope spent time together, chatting and getting to know each other. During that time Angelee shared her wish list, filled with fun activities she hopes to experience with a family of her own.

"Go to a waterpark, or outside, or go bowling or roller skating," listed Angelee.
