24/Seven Eatz Opens in Erie, Blending Family, Soul Food, and Community

Erie’s Black Wall Street announced the grand opening of 24/Seven Eatz, a new Black-owned soul food restaurant founded by siblings Linda M. Marlowe, Karen White, and Jimmee Mills in tribute to their late mother, Merlean Lomax.
The grand opening celebration will be held Sunday, June 29 at 2:00 PM at 601 Brown Avenue, on the late Merlean Lomax’s birthday.
Rooted in a family of 14 siblings and parents married over 60 years, 24/Seven Eatz is a heartfelt celebration of Southern tradition, family legacy, and community connection.
Every meal is made from scratch with care and soul, bringing classic favorites like the Big Sexy burger, collard greens, and homemade desserts to Erie's food scene.
Hours of Operation:
Sunday, Tuesday–Thursday: 6:00 AM – Midnight
Friday & Saturday: Open 24 hours
Closed Mondays
In addition to dishing out comfort food, the restaurant is launching a community food drive, collecting nonperishable goods to donate to local nonprofits, extending their mission to nourish the Erie community beyond the kitchen.
“This grand opening represents the strength of legacy, the love of family, and the power of entrepreneurship,” said Kyra Taylor, Executive Director of Erie’s Black Wall Street. “We are proud to support 24/Seven Eatz and honored to celebrate this meaningful moment with them.”
