Warren, PA - The Warren County Chamber of Business and Industry is rolling out new initiatives to support small businesses and community growth.

Ahead of Small Business Saturday, WCCBI is introducing Chamber Bucks — free vouchers ranging from $5.00 to $50.00 that can be redeemed at chamber-member businesses, made possible by a generous donation from Pennsylvania General Energy. The vouchers will be available at five different community locations across the on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Dates and times for the Chamber Bucks giveaways will be shared through the Warren Chamber's website and social media, as well as radio and television announcements.

Caroline Johnson, WCCBI Administrative Assistant, said the goal is to encourage residents to shop local and support small businesses.
"We always push to support and shop local all year round, but Small Business Saturday is one of those days that will always be a great day for small business," Johnson said. "This year we wanted to do something extra special to help our small business community. We will be issuing out Chamber Bucks, free vouchers that can be used anywhere in Warren County at chamber-member businesses. Each community will be getting 45 vouchers, so the first 45 people in line at the voucher donation locations will get a Chamber Buck."

At the same time, Warren Worx, another initiative of WCCBI, is preparing to unveil their new community branding, created in part with marketing agency, Truth Collective. The brand launch party is scheduled for September 10th at Cable Hollow Golf Course, where the public is welcome and encouraged to attend.

Jennifer Phillips of Warren Worx said the branding effort is about building excitement and highlighting Warren County’s strengths for the future.
"It really is very exciting, the last couple of months we have hunkered down and picked a date to launch the logo," Philips stated. "The new brand is the visual aspect that everyone sees and is very excited to look at, but really the project work done by the board and all of our volunteers is really what is important. We want to stress to everyone that this is what we are here for, community engagement, involvement, reinvigorating the region, and recruiting people to move, work, and stay here."

Warren Worx has also expanded internet access through mobile hotspots and awarded $1,000 grants to towns and cities throughout the region including Warren, Youngsville, Tidioute, and Sheffield. The funding has supported community events such as First Fridays in Warren and WWII Days in Tidioute.
