Joseph Manno, state investigator, conducted in-person interviews at the Blasco Library on Thursday, with families and plot holders who have experienced neglect, broken contracts, or lack of communication from Lakeside Cemetery.

Manno encouraged them to bring contracts, receipts, payment records, photos of poor maintenance or neglected plots, and notes about broken promises or communication issues.

Monica Carson, who told us her father was harassed at the cemetery back on Memorial Day, spoke with Manno and explained one of her main concerns is that the cemetery is a private for-profit cemetery.

After speaking with Manno and hearing that other community members have done the same, Carson is encouraged and hopeful that upkeep at the cemetery may be getting better.

Xavier Graham, from Lakeside Cemetery, told Erie News Now:

"We have been on top of things, we stay in good contact and have an open line to be reached for all questions, comments and concerns."
