The next generation of doctors took a big step in their medical journeys, receiving their white coats on Saturday.


LECOM held two White Coat ceremonies, both at the Warner Theater.

The first took place in the morning where 39 LECOM students from the Pharmacy and Podiatric Medicine Schools got their white coats.


The afternoon ceremony was where 269 LECOM students from the School of Medicine received their white coats.

Another important part of the ceremony was the students reciting the Osteopathic Pledge of Commitment.


School officials said this event marks a significant milestone in these students journey's towards becoming physicians.
