Marion Townes served in the U.S. Army both on active duty and in the reserves.

As a senior in High School, she decided to serve her Country.

Marion was 17 at the time and needed her parents' signature.

One that happened, her military journey began.

Her father served in the U.S. Air Force, but she wanted to take a different route and did.

Marion remains close to many of the people she served with.

She was recently honored by Erie Insurance on Women's Veterans Day in Erie.
