An Erie police officer is recognized as your Erie county officer of the month.

He's patrolman Mike Suchy.
He's been a police officer in Erie county for 20 years, on the city of Erie police force for 10 years.
Those who work with him say he's very deserving of this award.

"I think it's a good program, quite frankly I think everybody in my department deserves an award for what we do, and what everybody as a police officer does every day." Said Suchy.

"Very conscious, very deserving police officer and most notably with him, is the fact that he knows how do deal with the public and they get the level of police service that they deserve and expect." Said Erie Police Chief Steve Franklin.

"I'm very very happy for him. He's got a great sense of humor, very professional, everything that I think the county wants in a police officer." Said Assistant District Attorney, Bob Sambroak.
