Nine people went to the hospital Saturday night, after a minivan crashed into another car.

It happened around 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of 26th and State Street. Police say a Honda Odyssey minivan was traveling South on State Street when it turned left onto 26th and hit a Chevy Malibu, traveling North.

Both vehicles had heavy front end damage.

Seven people were in the Odyssey, and four of those people plus all five people from the Malibu, were taken to UPMC Hamot.

According to police, their injuries ranged in severity from minor to moderate.
