Did Someone Pirate the Scally-Wag?

Police were called to a Route 19 driveway near Waterford when the homeowner said a trailer was stolen.
It contained the Scally-Wag, the popular boat replica that is the symbol for Therapy Dogs United, a non-profit that uses companion dogs to improve the quality of life for seniors and those with disabilities.
The float was so popular that it won Best Overall for the Perry 200 parade and this summer has been a fixture at events across the area.
The news of the possible theft appeared on morning news shows and blasted across Facebook, leaving supporters of the puppies on the high seas display well...in the doldrums.
But no one was more surprised at the hubbub than Harry Iman. He isn't a pirate, he works for the volunteer who was keeping the float.
Iman was part of the crew who moved the float to the homeowner's barn a few miles away.
"I caught the news this morning and came in and gave them a heads up, a warning I said, Hey, we're going to be famous!" Iman told us.
The crew said they should have told their boss. The boss said he probably asked them to move the float and forgot. For Therapy Dogs United, it doesn't matter.
"We're just all relieved, we're just really glad, no questions asked, as long as it's safe and sound,"
Therapy Dog United's Pat VanZandt Christianson told us.
