A fire in Meadville did costly damage Friday night, not only destroying a garage, but everything inside.

The fire sparked around 5:45 p.m., in the 1200 block of Route 98, between Van Horn and Cooper Roads.

Crews at the scene say that the garage, and several cars that were inside, are a total loss.

Fortunately, firefighters were able to contain the fire to the garage, and save the adjacent home, but there was some smoke and heat damage to the outside of the house.

Thankfully, nobody was hurt. Investigators are looking into what caused the fire.
