If your power was lost or even flickered on Halloween night, you were one of 15,000 people affected by a wide-spread power outage.

It swept through a large part of the city of Erie after a reported transformer fire just before 9:30 Friday night.

It sparked in a substation in harborcreek. Penelec tells us crews are on the scene, and they're still investigating what caused the substation to
malfunction.

Penelec spokesman Bill Jerin said power should be restored to most customers by midnight.
